Do you want to see people wear your graphic design? Take a cue from this community where users upload their designs to be voted on, printed, and sold! 10 designs are selected weekly so this site lets you be in the know which styles are well-received by the masses. Winners also receive commission and cash prizes, talk about inspiration!

3. From Europe

This site actually has a page called Inspiration, so click on that right away to get your creative juices flowing. Inside you’ll find the hottest tips from the field of design furniture, living, accessories and architecture. Get ready to be amazed with European innovations such as the tarantula tea light and the bended clock .

DeviantArt is the largest art social networking site in the world. With over 13 million registered members submitting an average of 100,000 new pieces of artwork every day, there is the potential for anybody to find a wallpaper that they absolutely love.

DeviantArt is also pretty enormous, though, so if you’re after an awesome minimalist wallpaper, you’re in luck – here are ten great ones:

1. White Foliage by Sian44

This wallpaper makes minimal use of color (only blue and white), but doesn’t skimpy on eye-pleasing shapes and patterns. The design features white silhouetted tendrils of plants, soft grass and swirls of motes rising into the air against a blue background that subtly spreads outward in bars of varying shades.

2. Hot, Ice, Cosy and Frapp by dm29

A minimalistic yet adorable illustration of four forms of that much-loved treat: espresso. Simple flat-colored pictures of the beverages with a warm coffee brown background to make your desktop welcoming.

3. Hello, I am your wallpaper… by ClaymoreCCCLX

For those who like to humanize their computers a bit, here is a very simple and clean black wallpaper with gray text stating, “Hello, I am your wallpaper (and I love you).”

The title might not be very original, but the image creates the visually interesting illustration of octopus tentacles with suckers on them reaching upward by using simple lines and circular shapes. It’s all in black and white, and abstract enough to like even if you aren’t that fond of tentacled things.

On a site that gets 100,000 new pictures per day, narrowing the choices here down to ten was rather difficult. There are thousands more to choose from on DeviantArt, so if you didn’t find one here that suits your fancy, try browsing the Wallpaper section or doing a keyword search for “minimal wallpaper.” You’ll wish you had more than one desktop so that you could display more of them at once!

October 22, 2009 will be a big day for Microsoft as they will officially launch in public the much awaited windows vista successor, the windows 7 codename Blackbomb and Vienna. As early of August 2009, there are already leak copies of the RTM version, and I myself got hand on it.
